Welcome to the Linux Basepractice and regular Netrek Server.

Installation:

1. Fetch the linux-nt.tgz  gziped tar archive.

2. Uncomress and untar it on the Linux /usr/local/games dir.

3. Start /usr/local/games/netrek/start_server

4. Run your favorite Client and play. Several Linux clients can be found
   in the bin.clients and cow directory


Known problems. 
You don't need to run the Server under root anymore. In fact, on
my system it even didn't work under root because of problems with 
rsh (xon) for starting the practice robots.

The source will be included to the Vanilla Server release 
and is available among other sites on ftp.risc.uni-linz.ac.at in
/pub/netrek/src/Server2.06pl?.tar.Z
