This season we have what I consider the strongest field of teams ever seen in the INL, not to mention the largest field (15) that we've had in 2 years. It should be an exciting season. Once again we are splitting the teams into two divisions and running a round robin in each division (each team plays every other team). This will make for more regular-season games than we have had in the past, so instead of a two-game playoff we'll have a single game between the top team in each division to decide the championship (we'll also provide matchups for the rest of the teams). SCHEDULE YOUR GAMES EARLY; we have a denser schedule than usual and if you fall behind it will be difficult to catch up. Since the number of teams is odd, Division 1 will have one more game to play than Division 2; when (inevitably) a team drops out, we may do some reshuffling. Because the field is so strong, I found it difficult to divide them equitably between the divisions, so I did it randomly; in the listings below, neither the division a team is in nor the position at which it is listed in that division have any relation to the strength of the team. I think it came out well, but if you don't like it, blame my random number generator. Schedule: 2/12: Schedule released. 2/27: At least ONE game should be complete. 3/13: At least TWO games should be complete. 3/27: At least THREE games should be complete. 3/28: TRADE DEADLINE; no players may change rosters after this date. New players may be added to a roster still. 4/3: At least FOUR games should be complete. 4/10: At least FIVE games should be complete. 4/17: At least SIX games should be complete (Division 1). 4/24: REGULAR SEASON ENDS. ALL GAMES SHOULD BE COMPLETE. 4/26: Playoff pairings released. Since there is only one playoff round, the season is open-ended; you can schedule your playoff game any time after the pairings are released. Division 1 F*** O.J. BEER!
